Career Assessment
Assessments are a great tool to use in the career exploration process. They can offer insight into your interests, abilities, skills, and values as they relate to majors or occupations. The following career assessment resources are available to students:
- An interactive experience which utilizes a variety of assessments to match students and alumni with over 1,000 career options. This intuitive career and education decision-making system assists student and alumni with major and occupation exploration, allowing each individual to make informed career decisions in order to take action in their career development.

STRONG Interest Inventory - This assessment measures your interests and identifies possible careers, courses of study, work and leisure activities you might find rewarding. Students must be recommended by the Director of Career Development to take this assessment after an initial career counseling appointment.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) - The MBTI provides individuals insight about themselves. The MBTI can help with career choice, development, and management. Students must be recommended by the Director of Career Development to take this assessment after an initial career counseling appointment. Administration and interpretation of this assessment must be completed in person in the Career Development Suite or as part of a classroom activity.
Resume and Cover Letter Development and Critique
An updated resume and cover letter are essential to a successful job search. The staff in the Office of Career Development is available to assist you with revisions and suggestions to your current resume and cover letter. Need help getting started? Interview Preparation
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. The Office of Career Development provides an interview guide with helpful tips on types of interviews, questions to consider and post-interview etiquette.
