Executive leadership expert brings 25 years of experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning

萝莉原创 appoints Karen Machol Piraino to its board of trustees, strengthening the university鈥檚 focus on workforce development and talent acquisition. With nearly 25 years of leadership experience across industries such as healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, Piraino will play a pivotal role in supporting the university鈥檚 mission to prepare students for successful careers through experiential learning and industry partnerships.

鈥淜aren鈥檚 extensive experience in human resources and executive leadership aligns perfectly with our strategic goals as a comprehensive regional university,鈥 said 萝莉原创 President Glynis A. Fitzgerald, Ph.D. 鈥淗er insight will be instrumental in shaping our initiatives that connect academic programs with the needs of today鈥檚 industries.鈥

Piraino鈥檚 distinguished career includes her role as head of recruitment and onboarding at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey鈥檚 largest healthcare network, and leadership positions at Axalta Coating Systems, DuPont, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and ARAMARK. Since retiring, she has operated Mirador Talent Consulting, and recently served as a consultant to 萝莉原创 by helping restructure its Career Services Office.

Shemanski. 鈥淗er background in talent acquisition and workforce planning makes her a valuable addition to our board, and we look forward to her contributions as we continue to advance our mission.鈥

Piraino holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology from Fordham University and remains active in the community as a member of Sacred Heart Church in West Reading and as a board member for Berks Catholic High School.
