University recognized for eighth consecutive year
Reading, Pa. 鈥 萝莉原创 achieves Military Friendly 庐 status for the eighth consecutive year and is one of only 625 institutions nationwide to receive the designation for meeting university benchmarks in areas such as student retention, graduation and job placement as well as for being in good standing with federal programs such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Armed Forces Tuition Assistance Funding.
鈥淲e are proud to be recognized once again as Military Friendly,鈥 said Bret Krotee, admissions counselor and coordinator of 萝莉原创鈥檚 Veterans Center. 鈥淚t is vital that military students feel like an integral part of the campus community, so each year we bolster our active military and veteran student initiatives, which leads to increased student and family engagement. We look forward to continuing to serve those who currently serve or who have served in the United States Armed Forces.鈥
Each year, a new list of is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best college, university or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.
Last academic year, 萝莉原创 organized military benefits for 64 students, which includes active military, veterans and their family members. Along with tuition assistance and various other benefits, military service members may apply for federal aid. The Military Friendly 庐 Schools list is created based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide and responses to a proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly 庐 Schools survey. For the first time, the methodology included a new measure 鈥 the 90/10 Rule and Loophole, which closed the loophole on the survey.
, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly庐 Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution鈥檚 survey scores with the assessment of the institution鈥檚 ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
