Biography
As a 42-year clinician, educator and industry researcher prior to my transition to academia, I believe the didactic education combined with good clinical evidence is what drives optimal outcomes. Over the past 17 years I have had the pleasure of introducing wound care to students and shared in the understanding of how injury to the integumentary system impacts nearly all aspect of physical therapy. As a faculty member with major responsibility for clinical internships and experiences I have committed to searching for the student鈥檚 best possible clinic setting to further their education and awareness of the profession. I believe live patient experiences provide ideal learning experiences and will strive to utilize such. I will continually assess, adjust and demonstrate flexibility. My passion to improve patients physical and mental well-being is what drives the successful outcomes of my patient population. I will endeavor to transfer this passion to all of you further enhancing your success with physical therapy.
